In a computer/marketing related blog, I just came across the word “ideation”, which from the context was clear that it meant the process of forming ideas.  At first I thought it was just another one of those horrid neologisms that the the computer marketing types inflict on the world, but when I looked it up, the word “ideate” has actually been around since the 1600’s.

Obviously I’m going to have to reideate my prejudices on neologisms from now on.
