In the summer of 1983/84, in the long break between my 2nd and 3rd years at University, I worked at Eraring Power Station near Newcastle, as a trainee electrical engineer.
At this time some of the generating units were in production, and some still under construction.

I used to work for Multicon Engineering we installed the over head cranes in the turbine house also the 2 x 70 million litre water tanks
Also we built the Fabric Filters for James Howden.
Nice to see all the photos. There is a picture of a Multicon crane I learnt to drive parked in front of the fabric filters ? It made me cry to see the old P&H.
