My article for the July 2025 edition of “The Local” is now out. This month’s story is inspired by Ralph Snowball’s photo of Joseph Thompson’s store in New Lambton. Not much is known about the store, but the advertisement on the wall for Yankee Doodle Jam led to the strange story of ‘creative’ entrepreneur Holmes Samuel Chipman.
