My latest article for the Lambton Local is out, this month looking at the many transport changes over the years in just one small section of Howe St and Hobart Rd. This tiny area has seen
- a coal railway
- a coal skip tramway
- three bridges
- horse drawn omnibuses
- single and double decker motor buses
- steam and electric trams
- the recent installation of traffic lights
Another grinchy thumbs down to Bunnings who have their Christmas stock out for sale more than three months before Christmas!
A big thumbs down to Big W who have put out Christmas trees for sale a full 3 months and 2 days before Christmas Day!
I hope all their stores and the offices of their heartless greed-obsessed upper management become infested with rancid maniacal grinches. I really do.
P.S. I quite like Christmas. But I like to celebrate Christmas …. well … at Christmas time.
Happy birthday kitty. Nine years old today. My how you’ve grown.
Spring has finally arrived with the last of my three personal signs of spring appearing this morning in the form of a black and white winged messenger from the sky. My three signs are:
- The appearance of green leaves on my mulberry tree.
- Being able to ride to work without wearing gloves.
- Being swooped by a magpie.
